Become A Contestant!

The 2023 Miss District of Columbia Competition will take place in June 2023.


​Please read the eligibility requirements carefully in order to ensure that you are eligible for this year’s competition.
The winner and runners-up will receive academic scholarships. Miss District of Columbia 2023 will represent the District of Columbia in the 2024 Miss America Competition and will serve the Washington, D.C. community throughout the year, as a goodwill ambassador and promoter of various civic and philanthropic efforts.

Prospective Contestant Information Form

If you are interested in competing in the Miss District of Columbia program, please fill out the Prospective Contestant Information Form by clicking the link under the "Become a Contestant" menu tab.  You will be provided updates and further information about becoming a Contestant.

Contestant Workshop

The Miss District of Columbia Organization conducts 90-second workshops in talent performances and three-minute interviews to offer feedback to prospective contestants. Only those who successfully complete the workshop will be permitted to participate in the competition. The Contestant Workshop will take place on April 15, 2023.

Paperwork

Those young women who attend the Orientation and the Contestant Workshop for this year’s pageant must complete the 2023 Preliminary Fact Sheet no later than March 14, 2023 in order to be accepted for Orientation and the Contestant Workshop.

In addition, all prospective contestants MUST bring the completed 2023 Eligibility Checklist with the required documents to the 
home of the Contestant Coordinator on March 26 (see "Important Dates" for more details). Note: Besides the form itself, contestants must bring COPIES of all required documents that prove eligibility. We will not be able to make copies that day and we must have copies that we can keep and review.
