The 2017 Miss District of Columbia Pageant will take place on Sunday, June 18, 2017. Please read the eligibility requirements carefully in order to ensure that you are eligible for this year’s competition. There is no entry fee to compete in the Miss DC Pageant. The winner and runners-up will receive academic scholarships. Miss DC 2017 will represent the District of Columbia in the 2018 Miss America Pageant (held in September 2017) and will serve the Washington, D.C. community throughout the year, as a goodwill ambassador and promoter of various civic and philanthropic efforts.

If you are interested in competing in the Miss District of Columbia pageant, please fill out the Prospective Contestant Information Form by clicking the link under the "Become a Contestant" menu tab. You will be provided updates and further information about becoming a contestant.
There will be an information session for all prospective contestants on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Daniel Morgan Academy (1620 L Street, NW, Washington, DC 20036; 7th Floor). To reserve a spot, please RSVP in advance email@example.com. You may also email with any questions you may have. NOTE: While the info session is not mandatory in order to attend the Preliminary Experience Workshop, attendance is STRONGLY encouraged, even if you have competed at Miss DC before. Attendance does not obligate one to attend the Preliminary Experience Workshop or compete. Please come out and learn about the process for competing for Miss DC 2017!
Preliminary Experience Workshop
The Miss District of Columbia Organization conducts 90-second workshops in talent and four-minute interviews to determine its contestants. Only those who successfully complete the workshop will be permitted to compete in the pageant. The Preliminary Experience Workshop will take place on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm at American University's Katzen Arts Center, Rooms 112, 123, and 151.
Those young women who attend the Preliminary Experience Workshop for this year’s pageant must complete the Preliminary Fact Sheet 2017. These completed fact sheets must be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than January 22, 2017 in order to be accepted for the workshop. In addition, all young women who attend the workshop MUST bring the completed Eligibility Checklist 2017 with them to the workshop. Note: Besides the form itself, contestants must bring COPIES of all required documents that prove eligibility. We will not be able to make copies that day and we must have copies that we can keep and review.
