The 2020 Miss District of Columbia Pageant will take place on Sunday, June 14, 2020.
Please read the eligibility requirements carefully in order to ensure that you are eligible for this year’s competition. There is no entry fee to compete in the Miss District of Columbia Pageant. The winner and runners-up will receive academic scholarships. Miss District of Columbia 2020 will represent the District of Columbia in the 2021 Miss America Competition and will serve the Washington, D.C. community throughout the year, as a goodwill ambassador and promoter of various civic and philanthropic efforts.

Information Session
There will be a free information session for all prospective candidates on a date to be announced. To reserve a spot, please RSVP in advance tohope.wigginton@gmail.com. You may also email with any questions you may have. NOTE: While the info session is not mandatory in order to attend the Preliminary Workshop, attendance is STRONGLY encouraged, even if you have competed at Miss District of Columbia before. Attendance does not obligate one to attend the Preliminary Workshop or compete. Please come out and learn about the process for competing for Miss District of Columbia 2020!
Preliminary Workshop
The Miss District of Columbia Organization conducts 90-second workshops in talent performances and four-minute interviews to offer feedback to prospective candidates. Only those who successfully complete the workshop will be permitted to compete in the pageant. The Preliminary Workshop will take place on TBD.
Paperwork
Those young women who attend the Preliminary Workshop for this year’s pageant must complete the 2020 Preliminary Fact Sheet. These completed fact sheets must be e-mailed to hope.wigginton@gmail.comno later than January 18, 2020 in order to be accepted for the workshop. In addition, all young women who attend the workshop MUST bring the completed 2020 Eligibility Checklist with them to the workshop. Note: Besides the form itself, candidates must bring COPIES of all required documents that prove eligibility. We will not be able to make copies that day and we must have copies that we can keep and review.
